The Market During Eid Preparations

Because Eid (the end of Ramadan) is the biggest holiday for Muslims, there's a lot of preparation that goes into it. One of my favorite parts of the holiday is everyone buying and wearing their new clothes. In Kite City there is a market that's very popular for clothing, especially women's clothing. So, before the big day all the women in town were out shopping for new outfits, bracelets, earrings, and shoes - everything new. The market was packed for this reason. There was traffic jams where everyone was at a stand still, and swarms of people. It was quite fun:)

Most evenings the main market (a different one from where you buy clothes) that runs through our side of town is packed. This particular night, as Eid was approaching, it was filled with even more people.
