Eid is the big celebration/holiday the last three days at the end of Ramadan. We were invited to join some families for their celebrations during this time, so we got all dressed up in our new clothes, which is what everyone does to celebrate.
The men and boys dress in what they call 'pajama' pants, which is just tight cloth pants, usually white, and a 'kurta' shirt, which is long almost to the knees. Because this is very traditional for every guy to wear I decided to purchase one of these outfits for Elijah. It was so cute, but I commented that "only in India would I ever dress my son in skinny pants."
