The Latest Move

Neal and I have officially moved back to Alabama. We packed up the house and two of my brothers and sister came to North Carolina to help us drive back. We were so blessed to have sweet friends help us pack some of the boxes and load the truck. The uhaul was packed SO tight! Neal's friend sure knew how to fit everything in!

Saying goodbye was hard, but it was very sweet. The Lord blessed us so much with precious friends, jobs, and a wonderful church. Our small group is something we will probably miss the most. They were our family there in NC and our hearts will always be thankful for them! We pray that we will have such sweet family in every stage and place in our future.

We left NC at noon on the 21st of December and arrived around midnight in AL. The next day we called some of Neal's sisters friends to see if they would mind coming to help us unpack the uhaul. The Lord provided three guys along with Neal's sisters and we unpacked and had everything in the room it went within two hours! It was wonderful how everything fit into the attic and the bedroom - a little weird though that my whole house could fit in such a small area. Oh, the Lord is teaching me much!

Neal and I were worn out, but very relieved once it was all finished. The Lord has already been blessing us with people so willingly giving to us and praying for us. We are more blessed than we can express!

Pray that we will learn how to live here well and how to manage our time.

The book of Habakkuk has meant a lot to me the last few days. Throughout the book the Lord is dialoging with Habakkuk about the way He is going to punish Judah for their sins. At the end of the book Habakkuk talks about his current circumstances - no fruit on the trees or vines, no olives in the grove, no crops, no sheep or cattle in the fields; however, he will rejoice in the Lord and delight in God his Savior. What's precious to me is that I can rejoice in the same Lord regardless of my circumstances. The same Lord who was faithful to His word in Habakkuk will be faithful to His word when He says that every tribe, tongue and nation will be before the throne. Praise Him!
